We are delighted to announce that acclaimed chef and former owner of the internationally renowned Walnut Tree Inn restaurant, Franco Taruschio OBE, is returning to the area of his birth Le Marche Italy to assist Stefania Ghergo of The Gallery Hotel, Recanati, Mc with a new project: the ultimate cookery school, a full immersion of cooking, learning, tasting and lifestyle in the unspoiled landscape of Le Marche. With Franco you will discover the roots of the Walnut Tree: the love for the real Italian way of being and, of course, the passion for cooking. "Cook with love - cook with your soul" is Franco's motto.
However, be assured that a day with Franco is a very down to earth and practical experience.You will come away with a menu of authentic Marchigiani recipes and the know-how, confidence and enthusiasm to cook them at home for your family and friends. Visits to a frantoio (olive oil mill), winery, fish market, see pasta being made by hand, etc. etc. will be included in this culinary experience. For those who cannot resist a bit of shopping there are outlets such as Tod’s, Prada and others which will also be part of the experience.
